Keto spaceman pie – Another successful creativity
Keto spaceman pie is the name we picked based on the final results! As with any keto experiment, you are never sure what the final result will be. Well, the experiment with different stages of thermal processing of the pie filling ended up looking quite spacey and sci-fi to us. Of course, our favourite decoration technique which we called Jackson Pollock technique was applied here. The results? – Photos don’t lie 🙂 Tasty, creamy, nutritious and honestly – delicious! It’s so good that it can serve as a meal replacement!
When Keto dessert can serve as a meal replacement?
There are two main categories that have to be checked here:
- Does it have nutrient density?
- Are the ingredients organic and natural?
If your answer is yes, then you are good to go! Have a piece or even two of Keto Spaceman pie for breakfast! It really makes no difference if you are eating an omelette with cheese on a pie of this kind. Of course, the amount of sweetener plays a role here. If you are preparing a Keto dessert that is loaded with sweetener, then you are risking being hungry sooner than you wanted.
In that case, you will have to have a breakfast that doesn’t contain too much sweetener or any at all in order to finish your meal with a Keto dessert. Our taste buds simply react very similarly to the taste of sweetness, regardless of the kind of sweetener used! Basically, if you overuse the sweetener, your insulin secretion will be higher! This is why it’s crucial to teach your buds that even a small amount of sweetener is more than enough!
Keto spaceman pie inspiration
A few days ago we published a recipe for probably the tastiest fat-bombs ever. The right combination of salty and sweet, fatty and creamy texture had to be applied in a pie form. So, here are the results! The pie is equally tasty, it only contains a bit more nutrients from eggs, mascarpone, sour cream and almond flour. Of course, you can use any Keto flour of your choice! I would recommend hazelnut flour but just adjust the amount due to carb content!
With the years of Keto baking experience, I came to the conclusion that you really don’t need that many flours! A tablespoon or three and you can make miracles. The secret lays in emulsification of eggs and butter prior to adding the flour. Of course, a good variety of psyllium powder is also important. This way you are sure that your keto cake, pie or bread will be 100% Keto, and not just low carb!
Are you ready for this spaceman odyssey?
