Keto Hydration – Refreshing infused water for after the festivities
Keto hydration is as important as macronutrient ratio! Judging from the historical books, eating excess amounts of food during the festivities has been a habit humans have been practising for more than 4 millennia now. It’s simple! When we want to celebrate, we always do it with food! Our close emotional response to food has been a matter of many studies and still, we cannot escape it. It’s almost as if it was written in our DNA. For example, even though we had a 100% Keto menu for this Christmas, we still had a bit too much of everything. We are just humans, after all!
Slowing down and portion control
When it comes to eating, during the holidays do we tend to have a pile of food on the plate and eat all of it? If your answer to this is unpleasant “yes”, you are not the only one. In fact, in the western world, people today eat big quantities of food and much more than we actually need. Moreover, many of us are quite aware of eating too much, but we know what happens to our bodies when we overeat. Did you know that your stomach is about the size of your fist? And if you close your fist, you will see that this amount of food is what most people need for an adequate meal.
If you are wondering how you can consume large amounts of food, be aware that the stomach is a muscle that can expand and receive more food than you would expect. In fact, the stomach can be extended up to three times after a large meal. This is why we need to learn to slow down and resist the “hungry eyes effect” once we feel satiety!
The importance of Keto hydration

Magic ingredients
Ceylon Cinnamon sticks are actually evergreen tree-like barks that grow in tropical areas, specifically in Sri Lanka. Cinnamon helps in controlling high blood sugar levels and accelerates metabolism. In addition, it works both anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating.

It has been used for ages to alleviate problems with the stomach when we overeat. Namely, the peppermint helps to calm the digestive tract and alleviates digestive issues, flatulence and stomach cramps.
Organic lemon is one of the most useful foods on our planet. Lemon protects against so many diseases so that we can rightly call it a superhero. It’s also full of nutrients – contains bioflavonoids, pectin, folic acid, vitamins C, A, B1, B6, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese. It has a beneficial effect on the liver, bowel, stomach, immune, nervous and cardiovascular systems. In fact, Keto hydration is always better with a slice or two of lemon!
Frozen raspberries The process of freezing raspberry emphasizes their sharp, fresh taste while they retain a seductive scent, providing a refreshing contrast to winter food. As winter has less seasonal fruits, because of the relatively low sugar level (fructose), raspberries are great Keto friends. Also, they are a good source of vitamin C that helps the immune system. As a very rich source of flavonoids and phenolic compounds, they act as a powerful antioxidant and thus help neutralise cellular changes. Some research has also shown that these berries substances can help brain cells function properly.
