Goat butter fatbombs – Anti-inflammatory treat
Goat butter is a true gem among dairy products! All the benefits of goat milk are highly concentrated in the rich, creamy and tasty butter. Yes, goat butter is the best butter you can afford today! It’s much healthier and easier to digest than cow’s butter. In modern times, cows are tapped with growth hormones designed to improve the amounts of milk. Unfortunately, cow’s milk products are mass-manufactured, which always results in lower quality. On the other hand, goat milk, especially goat butter, is still untouched by mass production. If you can source it from an organic farm and from untreated goats, you found yourself an elixir of great health and longevity.
6 reasons why you should prefer goat butter
1. Goat Butter is rich in vitamins soluble in fat
Specifically, goat butter contains plenty of fat-soluble vitamins, among which the most important vitamins are A, E and especially K2. The first two can be obtained from a healthy diet that includes meat, fish, nuts, seeds and vegetables. If you are leading a Keto Mediterranean lifestyle, you will be sure to have enough input of these important micronutrients. However, vitamin K2 is quite rare in modern nutrition! Nevertheless, it can have a powerful effect on health because it participates in low calcium metabolism that is associated with many serious diseases. Particularly, cardiovascular disease, cancer and osteoporosis. Goat butter is particularly rich in vitamin K2!
2. Butter is associated with a lower risk of obesity – Goat butter even more
Dietitians of the contemporary world often recommend choosing low-fat dairy products. Thus, they claim that in this way you’ll get the needed calcium without ‘bad’ fat and calories. But despite the high caloric value, high-fat dairy products are not related to obesity or any sickness what so ever. A study from 2012 examined the impact of dairy products on high fat on obesity, cardiovascular disease and other metabolic diseases. It has been found that such products do not increase the risk of metabolic diseases and are associated with a significantly reduced risk of obesity.
The observational evidence does not support the hypothesis that dairy fat or high-fat dairy foods contribute to obesity or cardiometabolic risk, and suggests that high-fat dairy consumption within typical dietary patterns is inversely associated with obesity risk. Although not conclusive, these findings may provide a rationale for future research into the bioactive properties of dairy fat and the impact of bovine feeding practices on the health effects of dairy fat.
3. Goat butter is a good source of fatty acid butyrate
Short chain fatty acid butyrate produces good bacteria in the colon when exposed to fibre. This is probably the main reason why fibres are important for health. But butter is another good butyrate source that has anti-inflammatory properties and a powerful protective effect on the digestive system.
4. Goat butter reduces the risk of heart attack
Food guidelines recommend replacing butter with margarine. But modern tips have been counterproductive. We replaced butter – a healthy food – with margarine containing highly processed trans fats that cause many diseases.
In a study that investigated the effects of butter and margarine on cardiovascular disease, margarine significantly increased the risk of cardiovascular disease, while butter did not have such effect. Another study has shown that high-fat dairy products reduce the risk of heart disease for incredible 69 per cent, most likely due to increased vitamin K2 intake! Now, cow7s that are grain fed, cannot produce milk rich in K2. On the other side, goats are eating leaves, branches, bark and grass and their milk is always rich in K2.
5. Butter contains a lot of healthy saturated fats – Goat butter especially
The fight against saturated fat is based on poor scientific results since it has never been proven to cause any harm. Recent research suggests that there is no link between saturated fat and cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, saturated fat increases the level of HDL (good) cholesterol. Goat butter also contains healthy amounts of short-chain and middle-chain fat that are metabolised differently from other fat and water to improve the saturation and increase the fat burning process.
6. Goat butter is delicious
The argument of deliciousness is equally important as the health benefits. This specific recipe was created for all of you who want to include more healthy fats and antioxidants in your daily diet. Anti-inflammatory chocolate with goat butter
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp raw cacao organic
- 125 g (1/2 cup) goat butter organic
- 30 g (1 Oz) cacao butter organic
- 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch flower of sea salt
- 4 micro scoops 100% stevia extract
Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a deep saucepan. Heat it over very low temperature and keep stirring until the butters melt and the mixture unifies. Pour the mixture into the silicone moulds and freeze for 1 hour. Pop the pralines or fat bombs out of the moulds and keep them in the refrigerator. It's best to use them within 5 days.Notes
This preparation method includes very low temperature, so the process of tempering is left out. This will cause the butter to separate from the cacao powder so you'll get a white base. Don't worry, this is not a mistake, this is a proof that you left the antioxidants intact!
